Tait Grindley is the Founder and Executive Director of Career Base New Zealand Ltd. He brings over 25 years of frontline sales, senior management and general business experience to his clients, picking up a range of skills from several industries both in NZ and overseas.
From the automotive and high performance tyre industry, to team management roles in professional motorsport, telecommunications, global talent and recruitment, corporate travel and then working predominantly as the General Manager of Strategy and Performance for a leading national training organisation for over 7 years. In this role, Tait developed training development and career solutions for some of New Zealand's most iconic leaders and organisations leading a team of 20 full-time staff and over 30 contracted facilitators. Tait was featured in NZ Management Magazine on a number of occasions, which led to him becoming a regular commentator and columnist on management and leadership trends in New Zealand, especially in the areas of gender and ethnic diversity, introverted leadership and his ongoing support of organisational mentorship for young managers.
In 2015, he shifted gears to spend 12 months working for a Kiwi-based tech start-up firm as their first global sales and training manager.
As of 2020, Tait continues his support and participation in governance roles, and involved in fundraising projects for national charities, primarily raising funds for underprivileged children in NZ through such events as the Southern Dash (formally Variety Club Bash). He has worked for NZ Trade Group for the last 3 years as their National Business Development Manager and is the director of the Career Base Group of Companies. He has completed a number of qualifications including that of a National Certificate in Adult Education and Training, NZIM Diplomas in Frontline Management and Team Leadership, and more recently a National Diploma in Career Development from NMIT.
